After high school, Wilson played college football at North Carolina State University, where he set numerous records.

In 2011, Wilson transferred to the University of Wisconsin for his final year, leading the Badgers to the Rose Bowl. His impressive performance caught the attention of NFL scouts, and in 2012, he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round.

Wilson quickly became a star in the NFL, known for his dual-threat ability as both a passer and a runner.
