As of August 2024, Celtic FC has been active in the transfer market, making several notable moves to strengthen their squad for the new season.

One of the key signings is Dutch midfielder Daan Rots, who has joined from FC Groningen. Rots is known for his creativity and vision in the midfield, and his addition is expected to bolster Celtic’s options in the center of the park. Another significant acquisition is Brazilian forward João Pedro, who arrives from Watford. Pedro’s ability to play across the forward line should add flexibility and depth to Celtic’s attacking options.

In terms of departures, Celtic has seen some key players leave. Australian striker Kyogo Furuhashi has transferred to an unnamed club in the English Premier League, marking a major change in the team’s attacking lineup. Additionally, midfielder Reo Hatate has signed with a club in Serie A, further changing the dynamics in midfield. These departures are part of a broader strategy to refresh the squad and bring in new talent.

Celtic’s manager, Brendan Rodgers, is focusing on integrating the new signings into the team’s style of play. With the UEFA Champions League on the horizon, these transfers are part of the club’s efforts to remain competitive both domestically and in European competitions. The club is also rumored to be targeting a few more players before the transfer window closes, aiming to address any remaining gaps in the squad.
