Dutch driver Max Verstappen of the Red Bull team emerged victorious at the Canadian Grand Prix, the ninth stage of the World Motor Racing Championship in the Formula 1 car class, according to Azernews.
British McLaren pilot Lando Norris secured second place, while his compatriot George Russell from the Mercedes team finished third.
Both Ferrari drivers, the previous stage winner Monegasque Charles Leclerc and Spaniard Carlos Sainz, were forced to retire from the race. Verstappen’s teammate, Mexican Sergio Perez, also did not finish.
In the overall standings, Verstappen leads with 194 points, marking his 60th career victory. Leclerc is in second place with 138 points, and Norris is third with 131 points. Red Bull tops the Constructors’ Cup with 301 points, followed by Ferrari with 252 and McLaren with 212.
