Finally Ferrari returns to Le Mans one year after securing its tenth overall victory.

A year after their historic victory, Ferrari is set to return to the La Sarthe circuit for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, aiming to reinforce its status as a top contender in this centenary edition of the world’s oldest endurance race.Scheduled as round four of the FIA WEC 2024, the race will commence on Saturday, June 15, at 4 p.m. local time.

Spectators can look forward to seeing the two 499Ps from the official Ferrari – AF Corse team on the 13-kilometre French track. Drivers Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, alongside last year’s winners Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi, will drive the Hypercars numbered 50 and 51. Additionally, AF Corse’s Ferrari number 83 will make its debut with drivers Yifei Ye, Robert Shwartzman, and Robert Kubica.

This year’s Le Mans, marking its 92nd edition, offers a prestigious and globally celebrated event with 50 championship points at stake for the winners. Ferrari’s 499Ps are set to prove their worth and gain essential points for the championship.

After securing a podium at Spa-Francorchamps and pole position at Imola, the Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen trio enters Le Mans in fifth place in the Drivers’ standings with 40 points, trailing the leaders by 34 points. Pier Guidi-Calado-Giovinazzi, returning with the 499P number 51, hold ninth place with 18 points. Ferrari is third in the Manufacturers’ standings, also 34 points behind the leaders.

In their inaugural endurance racing season, Ye-Shwartzman-Kubica stand seventh in the Drivers’ standings, while AF Corse ranks second in the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams, 11 points from the top, after a class win at Imola and podiums in Qatar and Belgium.

The schedule includes scrutineering on Saturday, June 8, followed by the Test Day on Sunday, June 9. Free practice sessions are set for Wednesday, June 12, and Thursday, June 13, culminating in the Hyperpole and a final practice session. The race will start on Saturday, June 15, at 4 p.m. local time.

Ferrari fans can watch the Hyperpole and race via onboard cameras on Ferrari’s YouTube channel. European dealerships will host events for clients to follow the race with dedicated entertainment. The Ferrari Museum at Maranello will also offer special initiatives, including live broadcasts of the race and exhibitions open during the 24 Hours weekend.
